Orrick is offering internship opportunities to outstanding bilingual law students who wish to work in our IP and Litigation business unit in Beijing for three months or more. 
The Orrick internship will enable you to gain practical experience with a busy, dynamic and fast-growing international law firm and work on cutting-edge transactions. You will be given broad exposure to our firm’s practice areas and excellent opportunities to participate in the firm’s legal training programs. As an intern, you will be staffed on a wide range of projects and your responsibilities will include:
?conducting legal researches;
?preparing legal memoranda;
?conducting legal due diligence;
?conducting translation;
?participating in deal execution and closing.

HIRING CRITERIA
?a consistently strong academic record in both undergraduate and graduate program (if relevant);
?native Chinese speaker with advanced reading, writing and translation skills;
?high level of fluency in written and spoken English;
?strong communication, interpersonal and legal research skills;
?the ability to think analytically and have commercial awareness;
?a team player and quick learner with the ability to work well in a high-pressure environment;
?committed to private law practice in an international law firm; and
?students graduating in 2016 (senior for undergraduate program or year 3 for graduate program) are preferred.
